I have been at NICVA since 2000 providing fundraising advice to community and voluntary organisations large and small. Previously I worked and volunteered in community and youth organisations in Lurgan and Portadown.
I learnt a few years ago while researching my family tree that fundraising has been a family tradition as both my grandfather and great grandfather were fundraisers in Belfast for a local orphan and children's society.
I am a voluntary trustee for a small grant-making trust (Victoria Homes Trust) and a member of the Institute of Fundraising NI committee.
James Laverty and I spent a productive day on the shores of Lough Erne last Tuesday (20 September) with CLP groups discussing their fundraising needs and experiences.
