Year 3 Mid-RTW

It seems such a short time since the Introductory RTWs, so it is hard to believe that it is almost time to get together again at the mid-programme workshops.

By now everyone should have received a confirmation email notifying them of the date, venue and start time of your Workshop.  Now you can check out the event programme on the website - click here for more information on the Belfast, Galgorm and Killadeas events.  We have included lots of really useful information to help you get the most out of your Community Leadership Programme and inspire you with new ideas for your group’s work.

As you can see these workshops will be a little different from the last ones. For one thing, we’ve packed so much into the programme that we will be starting a bit earlier. The first part of the event will provide you with opportunities to get one-to-one advice on using your free fundraising software, Grant Tracker or Fundingpoint, and learn more abut what the CLP website has to offer.  You can also get advice on your governance questions from NICVA’s Charity Advice experts, or ask Dr Anita MacNabb about completing your UU assignments or accessing the University’s online resources.  Or you may prefer to spend some of this time networking with other groups on the programme to exchange experiences and ideas.

After dinner we will move to the more familiar round-table format and have the chance to update each other on our progress on the programme so far before listening to expert inputs on the evening’s key topic of good relations.  Our excellent speakers will share the insights they have gained through practical hands-on experience of good relations work in their communities and there will be time for discussions within your groups and a chance to question the speakers directly.

I hope you are looking forward to the event. I would encourage you to make the most of the networking opportunities available by getting in touch with other groups to schedule meetings ahead of the day itself. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the CLP team at NICVA.
