Rasharkin Women’s Group [RWG] has 3 aims:
1] To support women and men to access learning and development opportunities giving them greater choices with regards to employment, community engagement and parenting. We have run a series of educational programmes and courses to develop arts & crafts skills, essential skills in maths and English, ICT, English language classes for migrant workers and confidence building.
2] To enhance the health and well being of women. We run a Community Health Initiative with a part-time lay health worker employed.
3] To provide children and their parents with the opportunities, space and confidence to engage in learning through our After Schools Club. We are registered by Social Services for 32 places [16 places term time and 16 places holiday time] and are currently working to 95% capacity for 52 weeks a year.
