The PAKT project works with various families through different strands in the programme.
They have a weekly Parents and Toddlers group involving pre-school age children; the core PAKT project involves mainly primary school age children and their parents twice a week at Family Club.
The Young Parents Group works once a week with teenage mothers and their children.
The project is delivered in an area which has been identified by DSD as an 'Area at Risk'.
The families we work with live in a fractured community which generally has poor community relations and has a deterioration of community cohesion.
