Dunclug Youth Forum

We are the Dunclug Youth Forum

 We are based in the Dunclug area (Dunclug Gardens, Dunclug Park, Dunvale, and Millfield) and we operate from the Dunclug Community Centre. The Dunclug Youth Forum was established, (as per our constitution), to achieve the following aims:- A). to provide a forum for young people to raise matters that concern them with the relevant authorities and to formally consult with such authorities on issues relevant to them.B). to encourage and enable young people to participate in democratic decision making processes and activities that promote education for the responsibilities of citizenship.C). To provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving conditions for young people and the population in general. A few examples of what has been achieved within the past year as follows:- 

• Constitution / Charitable Status awarded – April 2009
• Membership of the Dunclug Youth Forum increased the number of young people involved with the community.
• Hosted summer activities and increased the numbers of volunteers willing to give of their time and help.
• Hosted a children’s disco.
• Engaged in a Reimaging Project
• Engaged in Art project for a mural for the Dunclug Community Centre
