Calry is a rural area in North Sligo , with a population of 1850 people of which 600 are under the age of 18.
Our local play group plays an integral role in the development of the children of this community.
It contributes not only in their preparation for primary school but also in the development of friendships and social skills.
It offers all parents the opportunity to get to know each other before their little ones begin the primary school venture. Events such as Christmas concerts and end of year plays ensures that parents see their child in action and reassures even the faint hearted that junior is indeed making friends and enjoying play school.
This networking is vital for the continuity of community spirit and does begin at an early age even though we do not always realise that it is happening.
