Research reveals that the University of Ulster are seen as a modern, forward-looking, progressive, entrepreneurial university with the ability to get things done.
They continuously review courses in the light of changing student and employer needs and expectations.
For several years now the Ulster University have been in the top 10 of UK universities in terms of the demand for courses.
Two members from each of the selected Community Leadership Programme groups will have the opportunity to study with the Ulster University and gain a Certificate in Management Practice.
On successful completion of the Certificate in Management Practice, programme participants will:
- explain the functions and processes of management
- describe the environmental and organisational context within which management occurs
- articulate the functional areas of management and appreciate their interaction
- discuss their team working and leadership skills
- demonstrate their self awareness and understanding of others
- examine a variety of managerial issues and recommend appropriate management action
