Director

Hi my name is Úna and I work as Deputy Chief Executive for NICVA.  I have been working for NICVA for almost 16 years, starting off as the HR Manager, then moving to Director of Corporate Services for eight years and in May taking up my current post.  I have been involved in the establishment and development of many NICVA  programmes over the years with a particular emphasis on learning and development.  As an organisation, NICVA continuously examine ways to improve the services we provide by developing both our systems and people and in turn encourage organisations within the sector to do the same.  The Community Leadership Programme is a unique opportunity for organisations to examine their leadership capabilities with a view to providing much needed and effective services within the communites they serve.

As part of my work with the International Fund for Ireland I was invited to study community economic development in the United States under the US State Department's Distinguished Visitor Programme.
