Induction classes have been completed for the Certificate in Management Practice in Jordanstown, Armagh and Enniskillen. There are large numbers in each group with 48 attending the two Jordanstown sessions. Students got an opportunity to talk to people they didn't know and then introduce them to the group. Gerard McFall also attended each session to show students how to access the University library on-line from their home computers. The University has invested heavily in on-line resources with 75% of it's annual budget going to databases and electronic journals. There are also now 600 e-books in business subjects. Electronic access will be key to part-time students on the Certificate programme. E-books in particular are a great asset.
