Hello everyone!
Im hope all are well and had a great summer
This is just a quick note to give you a bit of information on some funding that Im familiar with and that may be of interest to community groups in Northern Ireland. The Building the Community Pharmacy Funding Programme has opened a call for applications, closing date 19th November at 4pm. If you have an idea for a community health programme, have a look at www.cdhn.org/bcpp and see if the guidelines suit the type of work that you do. The main idea of the programme is to encourage partnerships between groups and pharmacists, promoting community development approaches to improving health outcomes. Although the programme encourages groups to tackle health inequalities, BCPP want to use your skills to encourage a partnership approach with pharmacists and promote investment in alternative/innovative approaches to improving health. The Programme has funded a wide range of activities and are interested in existing work that you may already do to improve individual and community health. Level 2 funding is approximately £10,000 per annum and any group in NI can apply. The projects that have been funded are diverse, from eco and gardening/food projects, to improving the lives of homeless people,to working with young people or carers isolated from their communities. If you are interested, contact 028 302 64606 or register your interest at the web address above.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the round table events, video clips and potential film stars in the making...
All the best for now
