Free text messaging for groups

One of our facilitators has come across a website which enables you to use a free text alert system.  The tool is very event driven and is set up by your group, you create an event, invite people and collate responses if required. It is a good way of notifiying a large group of people of an event etc free of charge.

However because the service is free, there is advertising attached to the message.  This is independent of the group sending the texts so the group should make it clear that you are not endorsing the advertising.  The group have not control over what is advertised at the end of their messages.  Even with that in mind some groups might find this useful.  The link is www.teamer.net  if you want to take a look.
